Buying a domain through us

In the «Domain» tab you can search for a domain and order it directly. We register it for you and set it up straight away — DNS and certificate are on us. Before buying you see both prices: the first year and what renewal costs per year. The order only goes out after payment, and without a price there is no order button.

Two prices, and why they differ

Many endings are cheaper in the first year than afterwards — that’s how it is at the registrar and not our invention. So both stand above the order button, before you click.

Individual domains cost more to renew than their ending usually does. We still sell those, but at their own price — written out, before the purchase. What we don’t do: quietly bill them higher.

What we don’t sell

Premium domains, and anything that costs us considerably more to buy than what is on file, we turn down. That isn’t obstruction: without this rule we would eventually sell a domain for 25 francs that costs us 4,500. If you want a domain like that, get it from a registrar set up for premium.

Multi-year terms aren’t possible with us, because they can’t be represented as a yearly subscription. Endings that demand a minimum term of more than a year — .ai, for instance — therefore can’t be ordered.

Email isn’t included

We don’t offer mailboxes. Your domain can still have mail: you set your provider’s MX record yourself, see Managing DNS records yourself.
